The Foundation for a Sustainable Society, Inc. (FSSI) has partnered with Vizal Sto Niño Rice and Livestock Farmers Association, a community-based organization of farmers and livestock owners in Barangay Vizal Sto. Niño, Candaba, Pampanga.
.
Formed in 2019 as an association with 45 members and later registered under the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), the cooperative has since grown to 109 members. It aims to strengthen the local agricultural sector through collective farming, sustainable practices, and improved market access.
In addition to rice farming, the cooperative engages in livestock and poultry production and is now expanding its chicken egg production enterprise, a profitable agribusiness venture that provides consistent income to members and supplies eggs to local markets, households, and institutional buyers.
FSSI supports the enterprise through additional capital for the expansion of this enterprise, helping build a sustainable and scalable operation that secures financial stability and income-generating opportunities for its farmer-members in the next two years.
