FSSI Renews Partnership with Trunk to Gold as Social Enterprise Partner

FSSI renewed its partnership with Trunk to Gold Agribusiness Corporation (T2G Agri), a women-led social enterprise and an investee under FSSI’s Investing in Women (IW) program. Established in May 2017, T2G Agri aims to address the stagnant growth of the coconut industry in Jasaan, Misamis Oriental. The enterprise seeks to improve the productivity and income of coconut farmers by producing value-added products such as coco sugar, cocosavor, coco vinegar, and cocohoney from coconut sap, offering an alternative to copra production.

In its initial partnership with FSSI, the organization supported T2G Agri’s project on upscaling, marketing, and value creation of coconut sap by-products and adlai rice trading, enhancing the enterprise’s capacity and encouraging coconut farmers to maintain their farms rather than convert them to other agricultural uses. Now, FSSI continues to support T2G Agri by providing working capital to further strengthen their operations.

Managing Director Gemma Dela Vega-Emata shares their vision, which is deeply rooted in community-based work, and highlights the crucial role of FSSI’s support in expanding their impact through their social enterprise.
