The FOUNDATION FOR A SUSTAINABLE SOCIETY INC. (hereinafter the Foundation) is committed to uphold your rights as a Data Subject under Republic Act No. 10173 otherwise known as the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 and has implemented appropriate measures intended to protect your personal information and/or sensitive personal information against any unauthorized, accidental and/or unlawful processing under the following terms and conditions:

 

A. PERSONAL AND SENSITIVE INFORMATION TO BE PROCESSED

The personal information or sensitive personal information which the Foundation may collect from you by using our website shall be used for the following purpose/s: (1) access to the Foundation’s development services, (2) subscription to the FSSI mailing list and responding to submitted inquiries, and (3) participation in the Foundation’s programs (hereinafter referred to as Purposes) and shall include, among others, the following personal information or data which can be used to distinguish or identify you: name; address; landline or mobile number; email address; date/place of birth; civil status, sex/gender, religion, etc.

 

B. PROCESSING AND USE OF INFORMATION

Any and all personal information related to you which may come into the Foundation’s possession and/or control shall be used exclusively for the Purposes mentioned above.

Any and all processing of personal information related to the Purposes shall be made for a legal purpose and/ or pursuant to a legal obligation under applicable laws taking into consideration appropriate security measures to ensure the confidentiality and/or integrity of the personal information involved.

For other legitimate and/or business-related purpose. The Foundation reserves the right to process or disclose your personal information in order, among others: (1) to comply with applicable laws and legal obligations; (2) to respond to governmental inquiries or requests from public authorities; (3) to comply with valid legal processes issued by competent government authorities; (4) to protect the rights, privacy, safety or property of the Foundation or the general public; (5) to permit the Foundation to pursue available remedies or limit the damages that the Foundation may sustain; (6) to respond to an emergency; and/or (7) to monitor and comply with applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures. The accuracy and relevancy of the personal information is of vital importance.

You are therefore required to inform the Foundation at the earliest possible time should any of personal information stated above become no longer accurate or outdated.

 

C. RETENTION OF INFORMATION

The Foundation shall retain your information only for five (5) years starting from the date of collection and/or until the declared, specific and legitimate purpose has been achieved or the processing relevant to the purpose has been terminated.

However, the Foundation reserves its rights to retain your information when necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims, for legitimate business purposes, or when provided by law, which must be in accordance with standards followed by the applicable industry or approved by appropriate government agency.

 

D. CONSENT

The Foundation only collects personal information that you voluntarily supply through the Forms available in this website, and only with your knowledge and consent. The website uses cookies to improve your experience while using these Forms.
