Wishing you a meaningful Christmas and holiday season!
From all of us at FSSI

Dear Partners and Colleagues,
As the year draws to a close, we want to express our sincere gratitude for your continued partnership and commitment to our shared goal of uplifting social enterprises through our 3BL advocacy of people, planet, and profit.
In the latter part of this year, FSSI participated in several key events that reflect our commitment to advancing social impact. On November 6, 2024, FSSI participated in the launch of the Doing Good Index (DGI) 2024 in Makati City, led by the Centre for Asian Philanthropy and Society (CAPS), with the Association of Foundations (AF), a member of FSSI, facilitating data gathering for the Philippines. The event provided a detailed look at how public, private, and social sectors can collaborate to unlock capital for social good. Following this, on November 25 to 26, 2024, we joined the Social Entrepreneurship 101 learning session at Ateneo de Manila University, organized by the Ateneo Center for Social Entrepreneurship (ACSEnt) and the Institute for Social Entrepreneurship in Asia (ISEA). This two-day event focused on equipping participants with the knowledge and strategies to build businesses that balance social impact and financial sustainability.
As we moved into December, FSSI also participated in the 2024 Women’s Action Network for Development (WAND) National Policy Forum in Quezon City. The forum focused on integrating gender concerns into governance and promoting good gender practices.
In mid-December, FSSI meanwhile took part in the 7th Renewable Energy Congress held in Makati City. The event centered around accelerating renewable energy deployment in the Philippines, aiming for a 50% renewable energy share in the power generation mix by 2030.
Looking ahead, we are excited to announce two new partnerships. FSSI has formed a partnership with the New Rural Bank of San Leonardo (NRBSL), a development finance institution serving small farming communities in Central Luzon. NRBSL has been a pioneer in microfinance operations in the region. We have also partnered with the Mandaue City Public Market Vendors Multi-Purpose Cooperative (MAVENCO), a leading cooperative in Mandaue City, Cebu. MAVENCO offers a variety of financial services aimed at supporting small-scale entrepreneurs and vendors. NRBSL and MAVEMCO have both been previous partners of FSSI and we are excited with these re-newed partnerships.
Lastly, we invite you to share your feedback through our Knowledge Management, Advocacy, and Communications (KMAC) survey. Your insights will help guide us in improving how we engage with our valued stakeholders.
As we look forward to a new year, we remain committed to advancing people, planet, and profit through meaningful partnerships and impactful initiatives.
Merry Christmas, and may this holiday season bring peace, joy, and a brighter, more sustainable future for all.
