Dear Friends and Partners,
This year marks a truly special milestone for the Foundation for a Sustainable Society, Inc. (FSSI) – our 30th anniversary. It is a moment to look back with gratitude, to honor the journey that has brought us here, and to look ahead with a renewed sense of purpose.
From our beginnings in 1995 through a debt-for-development swap, FSSI has invested 2.5 billion pesos, supporting more than 300 social enterprises, empowering communities and helping to build a more just, inclusive, and sustainable future. Our 30th anniversary celebration was a moment to honor our journey and the many who made it possible – our social enterprise partners, institutional partners, member organizations, past and present leaders and staff, and the communities who have walked with us.

A highlight of this celebration was the launch of the FSSI 3BL Social Enterprise Awards, where we recognized outstanding partners who embody the values we stand for. Their stories remind us that real progress is measured not only in numbers, but in lives transformed and communities strengthened.
This anniversary also marked the beginning of a new chapter, as we introduced our Strategic Plan for 2025–2029. With it, we reaffirm our vision of empowered communities and our mission to invest in social enterprises that grow the bottom lines of People, Planet, and Profit. We will deepen our partnerships, strengthen our financial sustainability, and continue to build our institutional capacity – always guided by our purpose and grounded in our values.
In this special issue of our e-newsletter, you will find highlights from our celebration: news stories, the winners of the 3BL SE Awards, our anniversary video, and 30th anniversary newsletter. We are also excited to share with you our new campaign, “Tulong na Umuusbong,” which reflects our belief that real support takes root, grows, and bears fruit in people’s lives.
