The Foundation for a Sustainable Society, Inc. (FSSI) participated in the 17th Annual Clean Air Forum held on November 24, 2025, at the EMB Conference Hall A in the DENR Compound, Quezon City.
The event was organized by the Partnership for Clean Air, Inc., an FSSI member, in coordination with the Environmental Management Bureau of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (EMB-DENR), the Department of Transportation (DoTr), the NCR Airshed Governing Board, and the Lasallian Institute for Environment.

.
This year’s forum brought together representatives from national government agencies, local government units, the academe, the private sector, urban planners, biking groups, and civil society organizations. Discussions centered on the Active Transport Master Plan and its potential contribution to improving air quality in urban areas.
The program included presentations on key policy developments related to active transport. These included Senate Bill 1277 or the Philippine Bicycle Act and updates on House Bill 5058. The presentations provided stakeholders with a clearer understanding of ongoing legislative initiatives and helped identify practical steps to support cleaner air and more sustainable mobility systems.
The forum also served as a venue for sharing insights on integrating active transport into urban planning, strengthening inter-agency coordination, and addressing gaps in policy implementation.
FSSI was represented at the event by Mia Dionisio, Human Resources Assistant.
