The Foundation for a Sustainable Society, Inc. (FSSI) conducted learning sessions on solar energy and financing opportunities, bringing together social enterprise partners and organizations to deepen their understanding of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems and explore FSSI’s Solar Loan Products.
The first session, a webinar on the Basics of Solar PV Systems and FSSI’s Solar Loan Products, was held on July 2, 2026. It brought together FSSI’s social enterprise partners for an introduction to renewable energy solutions and financing opportunities.

.
The webinar provided participants with an overview of the fundamentals of solar energy and the Philippine energy landscape. It also covered the components and types of solar PV systems, their benefits for social enterprises and communities, as well as key technical standards and regulatory considerations.
Participants were also introduced to FSSI’s Solar Loan Products, which are designed to help social enterprises, cooperatives, NGOs, and solar enterprises access financing for the adoption and deployment of solar energy solutions.
The learning session aimed to provide FSSI partners with both knowledge and financial support to explore clean, reliable, and sustainable energy solutions. These solutions can help reduce operating costs, strengthen organizational resilience, and contribute to social, economic, and environmental impact.
FSSI continued these efforts through the “Solar Energy Opportunities for NGOs, Cooperatives and SEs and FSSI’s Solar Loan Products” orientation held on August 18, 2026. The session brought together 27 participants from 16 organizations.

.
The orientation introduced participating organizations to the fundamentals of solar PV systems and their potential benefits for organizations and communities. It also provided an overview of FSSI’s Solar Loan Products, which support near-small to small solar energy enterprises (SSEEs), as well as NGOs, cooperatives, and social enterprises interested in re-lending affordable rooftop solar loans to their members or employees.
Beyond the technical and financing discussions, the orientation provided an opportunity for participating organizations and their partners and affiliates to identify potential partnerships and explore areas for collaboration toward a more sustainable future.
Through these learning and financing initiatives, FSSI continues to support its partners in exploring renewable energy solutions while expanding opportunities for social enterprises and organizations to participate in the transition toward clean and sustainable energy.
