FSSI at the Knowledge and Learning, Innovations and Trade Expo (KITE 2.0) in Cebu

The Foundation for a Sustainable Society, Inc. (FSSI) joined the KITE 2.0: Knowledge & Learning, Innovations, and Trade Expo, held in Cebu City in April 2026.

With the theme “Talakayang Agrikultura at Kaunlaran: Tatak Kooperatiba,” KITE 2.0 brought together cooperatives, government agencies, private sector stakeholders, and development organizations to discuss agricultural development, institutional markets, financing, innovation, and collaboration.

The trade expo was held from April 15 to 18, 2026 at The Atrium, Robinsons, Cebu City, while the forum was held from April 15 to 17, 2026 at Summit Galleria Hotel, Cebu City.

FSSI Executive Director Mr. Sixto Donato C. Macasaet served as one of the speakers during Panel Session 6: “Innovative Agri-Financing and Investment: Are current financing and investments responsive enough for the needs of farmers and agriculture cooperatives?”

The session discussed how financing and investment mechanisms can better respond to the needs of farmers and agriculture cooperatives. Mr. Macasaet joined fellow speakers Engr. Sylvia O. Paraguya, Chief Executive Officer of NATCCO, and Ms. Raquel J. Capio, Technical Advisor of the Global Programme Farmers’ Organisations for the Transformation of Agricultural and Food Systems.

Through its participation, FSSI contributed to conversations on strengthening agricultural cooperatives, improving access to responsive financing, and building partnerships that support rural livelihoods and community-based enterprises.

This engagement is aligned with FSSI’s commitment to supporting social enterprises and cooperatives through strategic financing, partnerships, and capacity-building, guided by the triple bottomline of people, planet, and profit.
