FSSI attended the 43rd Taunang Pangkalahatang Pagpupulong of St. Francis Multipurpose Cooperative (SFMPC) held on March 29, 2026.
With the theme “SFMPC: Kasangga sa Matatag na Kabuhayan at Kinabukasan,” the General Assembly gathered the cooperative’s members, officers, and partners to discuss accomplishments, organizational updates, and future plans.
FSSI Executive Director Mr. Sixto Donato C. Macasaet joined the gathering as guest speaker. In his message, Mr. Macasaet emphasized the importance of cooperation between SFMPC and its members, stating: “magtulungan sana ang kooperatiba at ang mga kamay-ari, una, sa pag-iipon at pamumuhunan; pangalawa, sa marketing at distribution; at pangatlo, sa pagpapahusay ng paggawa ng produkto o serbisyo… kami po sa Foundation for a Sustainable Society, Inc. (FSSI) ay patuloy na susuporta sa inyo at sa inyong mga adhikain at gawain..”
SFMPC is a cooperative based in Malolos City, Bulacan, founded in 1982 to serve bamboo basket makers through credit services. It has since grown into a multi-purpose cooperative supporting vendors, teachers, small entrepreneurs, and SMEs across agriculture, manufacturing, services, and trading.
FSSI supports SFMPC’s St. Francis Eco-Hub Village Housing Project through its development financing facility, helping provide affordable and resilient housing solutions while promoting environmental responsibility and community-driven innovation.
