The Foundation for a Sustainable Society, Inc. (FSSI) attended the Solar Community Meetup organized by New Energy Nexus Philippines on April 14, 2026, in Bulacan.
FSSI was represented by Sherwin Celestino, Partnership Unit Project Officer, and Ednie Luceño-Casiller, FSSI Partnership Unit Manager.
New Energy Nexus Philippines is part of a global non-profit organization that supports clean energy entrepreneurs and enterprises. It supports clean energy startups and entrepreneurs through funds, networks, and programs across East Africa, South Asia, and Southeast Asia.
The one-day meetup gathered stakeholders from the local solar industry, including solar installers and key industry players. The activity aimed to connect stakeholders within the local solar sector and support the development of the solar ecosystem by creating spaces for networking, knowledge-sharing, and collaboration.
Through its participation, FSSI engaged with clean energy stakeholders and solar industry actors working to expand renewable energy solutions in local communities.
Renewable energy is one of FSSI’s priority value chains under its current Strategic Plan. FSSI aims to support more social enterprises engaged in renewable energy and contribute to practical, community-based solutions that advance the triple bottomline of people, planet, and profit.
