Dontog Technofarms, New SE Partner

The Foundation for a Sustainable Society, Inc. (FSSI) continues to strengthen sustainable agriculture and inclusive value chains through its partnership with Dontog Technofarms, a social enterprise based in Tuba, Benguet.

Established in 2021, Dontog Technofarms specializes in the production and consolidation of high-value vegetables, including bell pepper, broccoli, and cauliflower. The enterprise began with a small greenhouse and has since expanded into a consolidator that sources produce from its own farm and from partner farmers within the community.

The enterprise provides direct income and fair market access to local farmers through rotational supply arrangements and contract farming. It also promotes sustainable agricultural practices, such as greenhouse farming, efficient drip irrigation, and the use of biochar as a soil enhancer. By maintaining stable sales with institutional clients and exploring new markets, Dontog Technofarms ensures a reliable pathway for local produce to reach consumers.

Through FSSI’s support, Dontog Technofarms is accessing additional working capital to sustain its continued operations and growth. This funding will allow the enterprise to increase its purchase volume from partner farmers, ensuring uninterrupted deliveries to clients and enhancing rural livelihoods. By investing in this viable business model, FSSI helps secure a more stable and sustainable food system in Benguet while balancing profitability with social and environmental responsibility.
