The Centre for Asian Philanthropy and Society (CAPS), with the Association of Foundations (AF), a member of FSSI, launched the Doing Good Index (DGI) 2024 on November 6, 2024, in Makati City.
The DGI offers a detailed roadmap of policies and practices aimed at unlocking capital for social good. It examines how public, private, and social sectors can collaborate to build a more equitable and sustainable Asia. The evidence-based resource is intended for policymakers, philanthropists, nonprofit leaders, and academics, providing valuable insights and best practices to increase and enhance philanthropic giving in the region. Dr. Ruth Shapiro, Chief Executive of CAPS, presented the findings to regulators, policymakers, and civil society organization (CSO) leaders.
FSSI, along with other participants, recognized the importance of the index in shaping future philanthropic efforts and supporting the achievement of the nation’s development goals. AF reiterated its commitment to working with both government and civil society partners to foster and enable philanthropic activities in the Philippines. AF is a member organization of FSSI.
