Social and Community SE Trade Fair in Pasig City

Pasig City, 26 May, 2024 — The Local Government of Pasig City, in collaboration with the Local Economic Development and Investment Office (LEDIO), Institute for Social Entrepreneurship in Asia (ISEA), Poverty Reduction through Social Entrepreneurship (PRESENT) Coalition, and Roots Collective, held the Pasig City Mega Trade Fair from May 23 to 26, 2024, at the Ayala The 30th in Pasig City.

This initiative was made possible through the support of partners such as the Sasakawa Peace Foundation, Australia in the Philippines, and Oxfam Pilipinas, as part of their Strengthening Participation and Accountability Through Civil Society Organizations and Engagements with Subnational and National Governments (SPACES) Project.

The Pasig City Mega Trade Fair served as a platform to showcase the ingenuity and resilience of social enterprises, highlighting their contributions to local economic development and poverty reduction efforts.

Among the participants was Bote Central, the social enterprise behind Basilio: Coffee to Share, a social enterprise partner of the Foundation for a Sustainable Society Inc. (FSSI). Basilio coffee is proudly Pinoy-made, grown, and produced by farmers all over the country.

FSSI, an active member of the PRESENT Coalition since 2012, continues to champion the advocacy of social entrepreneurship and sustainable development. Through its partnership with social enterprises such as Bote Central, FSSI remains committed to creating a positive social impact and driving meaningful change in communities across the Philippines through its triple bottom-line initiative of people, planet, and profit.
