More women-owned and -led social enterprises (WSEs) receive support through the Foundation for a Sustainable Society Inc. (FSSI)’s Investing in Women (IW) Project, through a co-investment arrangement with the Federation of People’s Sustainable Development Cooperative (FPSDC).
Since 2020, FSSI has played a pivotal role as an impact investor partner of IW, an Australian Government initiative in the Philippines dedicated to promoting gender equality and women’s economic empowerment by supporting WSEs.

This partnership has provided support to more WSEs in various regions – (1) Bukidnon Development Multi-Purpose Cooperative (BDMPC) wherein investments have been channeled into improving their business facility, bolstering the cooperative’s operational capabilities, (2) Self-Reliant Multipurpose Cooperative in South Cotabato wherein working capital provisions have injected vitality into their cassava enterprise, (3) Surallah Entrepreneur Multipurpose Cooperative in South Cotabato; investments here have facilitated the upgrading of their processing facility for turmeric production and the (4) Peoples’ Sustainable Employees Credit Cooperative in Quezon City for the implementation of a transport service project.




This co-investment arrangement has previously extended its positive impact to four other WSEs, including the Fatima Multi-Purpose Cooperative, CoopVille MPC, Kauyagan Savers MPC, and Polo Samahang Nayon MPC.
