FSSI holds competitiveness training for women SE partners

The Sustaining Competitive and Responsible Enterprises (SCORE) training held on February 22 to 23, 2023 in Quezon City was the first in a series of training workshops conducted by the Foundation for a Sustainable Society, Inc. (FSSI) for its women-owned and led social enterprise (WSE) partners.  The training was attended by representatives from 12 WSEs. The SCORE training was made possible by FSSI’s partnership with Investing in Women (IW).

IW is an Australian government initiative aimed at increasing the economic participation of women in Southeast Asia. FSSI partnered with IW starting in 2020 to provide support to women social enterprises across the country. Meanwhile, the International Labour Organization (ILO) developed the SCORE training program to help small and medium-sized enterprises improve their productivity, working conditions, and compliance with international labor standards.

By providing the training to its WSE partners, FSSI aims to strengthen the capacity of these enterprises.

FSSI and IW are working together to support women’s economic empowerment and increase their participation and leadership in value chains.
