Biyayang Lokal Project launched in QC

The Partnership of Philippine Support Service Agencies Association, Inc. (PHILSSA) officially launched the “Biyayang Lokal” Project on May 31, 2023 in Novaliches, Quezon City.

Biyayang Lokal is a sub-program under the Rural-Urban Market Link (RUML), a consortium project led by social enterprise GlowCorp. The project, funded by the United Stated Agency for International Development (USAID), primarily aims to establish a business mechanism that facilitates the consolidation of agricultural products and crafts and creating links with urban communities, specifically in the Greater Manila Area.

Representatives from USAID and consortium partners, the Philippine Family Farmers’ Agriculture Fishery Forestry Cooperatives (AgriCOOPh) Federation, Asian Partnership for the Development of Human Resources in Rural Asia (AsiaDHRRA), Foundation for a Sustainable Society, Inc. (FSSI), National Confederation of Cooperatives (NATCCO), and Philippine Partnership for the Development of Human Resources in Rural Areas (PHILDHRRA), joined the launch.
